Other services provided by Forestland Management, Inc. include prescribed burning, expert witness in timber related court cases, and tax and estate planning for estates with timber assets. We are experts in pine beetle and disease prevention as well as in reducing the risk of wildfire

Fees

Our fees are usually based on a small percentage of sales and we are generally paid only when the client has been paid for timber or other timberland products. In almost all circumstances, the client receives a much greater increase in price for products sold than what Forestland Management, Inc. is paid. Our clients frequently receive from 20% to 50% above average market.

For most landowners, our fees are based on a certain percentage of timber sales with some services, such as burning, based on per-acre rates. The percentage is dependent upon whether the sale is a clear-cut or thinning, the size of the sale, and the amount of work that is going to be required.

For larger landowners, we customize our fees based on the nature of the arrangement. A low percentage of sales will cover a comprehensive plan that encompasses almost any service that may be required.
